The Swedish Trade Union Confederation Congress also resolved to retain the wage policy of solidarity. Within the framework of the wage policy of solidarity the Swedish Trade Union Confederation will continue to work to promote changes in relative wages that counteract value discrimination between male and female dominated sectors.

The Swedish Trade Union Confederation is to initiate broad discussion in the trade union movement on the focus of wage policy. In particular it will raise issues of unequal wage spread, equal pay, wage drift and international competitiveness. This was resolved by the Swedish Trade Union Confederation Congress.
