Conferences and seminars

Those who wish to attend a seminar or conference arranged by LO are registered in different ways. The collected information is needed for the planning and carrying out of the event. Occasionally, information on dietary requirements and/or allergies is requested. The legal basis is consent.

The personal data collected prior to a seminar will be erased no later than one month after the event. The legal basis is balancing of interests.

The personal data collected for a conference will be erased no later than three months after the event.

In case of seminar and conference evaluations, a questionnaire is sent to the e-mail address registered for the event.

Contact with LO

LO handles incoming e-mails on the legal basis of balancing of interests/legitimate interest. We answer e-mails on general matters as soon as possible and erase them after a maximum of three months.

If sensitive or confidential information is to be sent from LO, it is done by ordinary mail or encrypted e-mail.

LO Sweden’s website

www.lo.se is the official website of Landsorganisationen (The Swedish Trade Union Confederation, LO) and it holds a publishing certificate issued by The Swedish Press and Broadcasting Authority. Annika Nilsson, Chief Executive Officer, is the responsible publisher.

Cookies

We use cookies to ensure the optimal functioning of the website. Google Analytics is a digital analysis tool that measures visits and visitor behaviour on the website through the use of cookies. Google Analytics enables the editorial team of lo.se to analyse how visitors make use of the website and also how the contents should be improved. The information received on visitors is never used to track individuals having consulted the website.

Newsletters and press releases

Readers of lo.se and the blog site ”LO Bloggen” have the option to subscribe to newsletters and press releases. For this, we use external service providers who act as data processors, through a contract. The data on subscribers is not shared with other parties.

It is easy to unsubscribe, since there are links at the bottom of each message. All subscribers receive yearly a request to renew the subscription; inactive e-mail addresses are gone through yearly.

Social media

LO uses the plattforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube to spread information, form public opinion, promote trade union services, as well as to carry on a dialogue with those who are interested in or have questions about our organisation.

Facebook is the data controller primarily responsible for the processing of your personal data on Facebook. LO can however be considered to be responsible for certain data processing carried out on LO’s Facebook site. In cases where we process personal data in our blog texts, it is done with legitimate interest as legal basis.

LO regularly monitors the comments in our social channels. Comments which refer to sensitive information on others and may be perceived as offensive or harmfull, or which deviate from the subject, are removed without delay.

In social media LO shares links to webbsites owned or run by other party. LO is not responsible for the processing of personal data carried out on these websites.

Changes in the privacy policy

LO retains the right to make changes in the present policy, by means of publishing a new one on the website.
