Branko Milanovic seminar - Income Distribution and Migration in the Age of Globalization
Längd: 1 tim 50 min
Branko Milanovic is one of the world’s leading scholars on income inequality.
He is Visiting Presidential Professor at The City University of New York, Graduate Center. He will be presenting his most recent book "Global Inequality: A New Approach for the Age of Globalization" (Harvard University Press 2016).
The book has garnered significant attention for its unique collection of data that gives an eye-opening picture of global inequality, showing the global winners and losers over the last few decades. The rise of the global middle class and the global plutocrats has meant that the overall picture is one of modestly falling global inequality but rising inequality within countries. The book also gives an account of the dynamics that drive inequality on a global scale, and discusses what lays ahead.
